Large 19th century Italian Majolica Istoriato wall plate in the Renaissance style, titled “Ostorius Cartimandua et Caractacus”. Its a typical example of tin-glazed ware produced in the style of earlier artists from the Urbino region. Because of the glazes used and the firing process, the plate still showcases the vivid and earthy colors which have retained their brilliance over the years. The plate is in very good condition, there is one hairline crack on the back, as seen. Dimensions: D: 52x8cm. CE-0157
